Hometown Embarks on an Adventure of Kindness

Students at Hometown school got a visit from Ned, a lovable cartoon character, to learn the importance of kindness. Ned and his friends illustrated what it means to be kind in an effort to motivate students to always show kindness, respect, and acceptance.

“The students really enjoyed the assembly and seemed to very open to the message of being kind, caring, and celebrating differences,” said Principal Katy Spreitzer.

Key themes of the show include, caring is cool, always include others, I can make friends anywhere, each person matters, and different can be good.

The adventure is two-fold when schools schedule the show they also send the adventure to another school for free and provides income for the artisans in Kenya.
