District 123 Newsletter and Survey Sent to 12,000 Members of Community

As the school year comes to a close, District 123 sent out a newsletter to show the community what we are most proud of as a school district and encouraging them to participate in the Community Survey. The tri-fold was sent to about 12,000 homes in the Oak Lawn-Hometown community.

Highlights from this year include the Annual Community Leaf Raking Event, where 175 volunteers raked leaves for more than 100 homes, parents were invited into the classroom at Covington school during National Education Week, and raising more than $500,000 for Make-A-Wish over the last 10 years and Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School remaining the top fundraising school in Illinois.

District 123 is proud to have 87% of our students meeting growth targets and be a 1:1 school district, meaning each student has a Chromebook or an iPad. Our school district has a 13:1 student to faculty and staff ratio which means each student is getting the attention they need to succeed in our schools. In addition to hard work in the classroom, our district has put in 12,000 service hours into the needs of our community.
